The school of Amor, Fe, y Esperanza offers government-approved home-school curriculum to around 160 children whose families work in the Tegucigalpa Garbage Dump. It begins with a nursery, but children begin formal curriculum in “Prepa” (kindergarten). This year we teach up through ninth grade. We will keep adding grades and teachers until the children graduate from college!

AFE offers students holistic, high-quality educaton and an opportunity to grow in their love of learning, and also excellent mentors in their service minded teachers.

AFE exists to present the good news, announced by Jesus, to the children and families of the Teguicgalpa Dump.

This good news is about an abundant life, available to all, and it is holistic. Therefore, AFE shares the news in deed as well as word. It offers a path out of the dump in its school, a childhood once again for children, greater physical health and an education that exceeds head knowledge.

Children receive the normal government-mandated education, plus biblical instruction, mentorship, and supplemental classes such as art, sciences, and agriculture.

One of our supplemental programs is our very popular soccer team! To follow the team´s progess, click here.

The greatest thing about AFE's education is that it expands the children's worldview. Before coming to AFE, a child's world revolves around the dump. Their speak of their ambitious to become a dump truck driver, because that is as far as they can see. At AFE, they meet people from other walks of life and see more of the country of field trips, and their ambitious change. Now they dream of becoming doctors, pastors, and engineers.

Thank you to all of the international teams who have visited our children and passed along the dream: "I'll see you in a university!"
